The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education is essential to make teaching and learning more dynamic and interactive, facilitating access to information and personalizing learning according to the individual needs of students. The general objective is to analyze how technological resources facilitate the teaching-learning process in elementary education, promoting engagement, interaction, pedagogical efficiency, and the development of competencies. This article presents a qualitative bibliographic review on the role of educational technologies in teaching and learning. Recent academic sources were analyzed, prioritizing studies at the intersection of education, technology, cyberculture, and gamification. The critical analysis of the texts identified recurring themes regarding the impacts of technology on education, organizing the results into categories that highlight benefits, challenges, and gaps, contributing to more effective pedagogical strategies and future research. Furthermore, technology prepares students for the challenges of the modern world, developing skills relevant to the job market. However, it is crucial that educators are trained to use these tools effectively, ensuring that technology serves as a means to enhance education, without replacing the essential learning process necessary for knowledge construction. The incorporation of technologies in elementary education improves student motivation, with digital games promoting inclusive learning, virtual visits, and historical exploration in an interactive and engaging manner.
