Abstract

Introduction: Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed medicine by introducing new possibilities for diagnosis, treatment and management of medical data. However, these advances bring with them ethical, legal and technical challenges. Objective: This article aims to analyze the impacts and challenges of Artificial Intelligence in medicine, focusing on its applications, benefits and ethical and legal implications. Method: An integrative literature review was carried out, analyzing recent studies on the use of AI in medicine, identifying the main trends, benefits and challenges. Results: The review showed that AI improves diagnostic accuracy, helps personalize treatments and optimizes medical data management. However, concerns arise regarding liability for errors, data privacy, and algorithmic bias. Conclusion: AI is a powerful tool in medicine, but its implementation requires careful attention to ethical and legal challenges to maximize its benefits.
