This article explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in promoting inclusion and accessibility in higher education, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges of this technological integration. AI has the potential to significantly transform the educational environment by offering personalized solutions that meet the individual needs of students, promoting more equitable learning. Tools such as adaptive learning systems and real-time feedback exemplify how AI can enrich the educational experience. However, the implementation of AI in higher education is not without challenges, including ethical issues such as student data protection and algorithm transparency. Additionally, the need for adequate technological infrastructure and educator training are critical factors for successful integration. Educational policies also play a vital role, providing clear guidelines to ensure that AI is used equitably and inclusively. This study adopts a qualitative approach, based on a bibliographic review, to analyze the existing literature on the subject, identifying gaps and suggesting directions for future research. Interdisciplinary collaboration among educators, technologists, and policymakers is highlighted as essential for developing effective solutions. It concludes that while AI offers significant promises for inclusive education, its implementation requires a careful and responsible approach.
