This study aimed to review new therapeutic strategies in the management of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), highlighting their clinical efficacy and impact on quality of life. A systematic review of the literature was carried out, with an exploratory and descriptive approach, covering publications from 2014 to 2024 in the PubMed, Embase, SciELO, LILACS and BVS databases. After an initial search that addressed 47 studies, 15 were evaluated in depth, resulting in the inclusion of 9 articles aligned with the research objectives. The results indicated that biological therapies, such as dupilumab, promoted histological remission in up to 80% of refractory cases and contribute to eosinophilic inflammation, preventing structural complications. The corticosteroids described, such as budesonide, achieve remission in 65%-70%, but have a higher risk of recovery after discontinuation. Elimination diets, especially the empirical six-food diet, achieved remission in 72%, although adherence to them is limited due to severe dietary restrictions. Despite advances, challenges include the high cost of biological therapies and the need for strict adherence to conventional approaches. It is concluded that personalized strategies combining biological agents, corticosteroids, and elimination diets can improve the management of EoE, promoting remission, tension, and significant improvement in quality of life.
