Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are conditions that affect the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), masticatory muscles and associated structures, and are characterized by orofacial pain and functional limitations. This study, based on an integrative review of seven articles published between 2010 and 2023, evaluated physiotherapeutic techniques such as Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LBI), Dry Needling (AS), Facial Massage (MF), Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and mobilizations joints. Results indicate greater effectiveness of manual and minimally invasive techniques, such as AS and MF, in reducing pain and improving functionality, while LBI showed significant benefits, limited by the lack of standardization. Techniques such as TENS and postural photogrammetry have demonstrated reduced effectiveness in controlling symptoms. It is concluded that integrated and personalized interventions are essential for the effective management of TMD, highlighting the need for more studies on the relationship between body posture and severity of the dysfunction.
