This article addresses the topic of educational inclusion in Brazil, focusing on public policies aimed at integrating students with disabilities into regular education. The objective of the study was to analyze the practices and challenges faced in the implementation of these policies, through a bibliographical review. The methodology adopted was bibliographical research, consulting books, articles, and official documents about legislation and inclusive pedagogical practices. The results highlight the progress made in public policies, but also point out the main difficulties faced by schools, such as lack of adequate resources, insufficient teacher training, and cultural barriers to accepting diversity in the school environment. The conclusions suggest that to effectively implement educational inclusion, it is necessary to invest in continuous training for education professionals, as well as greater coordination between public policies and the local needs of schools.
