Financial education is crucial for developing savings and investment habits, especially among young people, who are more susceptible to misinformation in the digital environment. This study aimed to assess the level of knowledge of young Brazilians about cryptocurrencies and digital investments, in addition to understanding how the lack of information impacts their financial decisions. The research used an exploratory and quantitative approach, with questionnaires applied through a digital platform to collect data directly from the target audience. The results showed that, although there is a growing interest in cryptocurrencies, most young people have limited or superficial knowledge on the subject, usually obtained from social networks and non-specialized sources. The lack of formal education in finance proves to be a significant barrier to the adoption of responsible financial practices. In addition, the lack of adequate knowledge can result in mistaken financial decisions, compromising the adoption of conscious investment habits. Based on these findings, it is concluded that it is essential to invest in financial education programs that include the use and understanding of cryptocurrencies, aiming to empower young people to make more informed and safe decisions. Implementing these initiatives can reduce misinformation and promote long-term financial sustainability.
