This study analyzes the project "Acolhendo Quem Cuida" (Welcoming Those Who Care) carried out in Juazeiro do Norte-CE, which aims to provide emotional and psychological support to caregivers of children with special needs, involving parents, family members and education professionals. The research investigated the welcoming and support practices offered by the project, highlighting the importance of support networks and self-care strategies to improve the mental health and well-being of caregivers. Using a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory approach, the analysis revealed that 45% of caregivers reported significant improvements in their emotional capacity and sense of belonging. However, the need for greater participation of school administrators and public authorities was identified, as well as the expansion of technological infrastructure and specialized professionals. The study concludes that the creation of public policies and the appreciation of caregivers are essential for effective and sustainable educational inclusion.
