REDUCING TIME WASTE AND OPTIMIZING PRODUCT SEPARATION: APPLYING THE ABC CURVE, 5S AND LEAN MANUFACTURING

This article presents a study regarding process improvement, in the supply flow and separation of items in the stock of a company in the retail sector in the State of São Paulo, for now a totally disorganized flow, resulting in a high level of waste of time in terms of refers to the location of the items, release for dispatch and consequently delivery to the consumer. To achieve the objective of this article, methodological tools such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and identification of the ABC Curve of the materials involved were applied, with the aim of instructing and directing the necessary adjustments. For this purpose, bibliographical research, scientific articles, covering knowledge related to the topic, in addition to comparative analysis of the previous and subsequent scenario and quantitative analysis, to determine the effectiveness of implementing the change, the results are presented through graphs obtained. In short, it was found that there was an improvement in the processes of storage, location, and identification of items, reducing costs associated with rework, waste and delays in delivery.
