This study is to investigate socio-emotional skills and the role it plays in learning. Using a qualitative methodological approach, through structured interviews, this study reveals that socio-emotional skills have a positive and significant impact on the learning process, however it also identified some challenges with regard to the workload available for the development of these skills. , which often occurs due to an overloaded curriculum. The research was carried out in a private school with two teachers called P1 and P2 with the aim of contributing to the analysis of the results, which made it possible to understand how this dissemination of knowledge about socio-emotional skills can interfere with the child's learning, when the teacher does not have affection with the student, as the relationship between teacher and student is fundamental for the construction of knowledge. In this sense, the affective route dialogues with the cognitive and about their interdependence and their contributions to the student's evolutionary process, with this perspective of helping to understand socio-emotional skills and their impacts on learning.
