Abstract

This article addresses the topic of domestic violence, which is related to violent behaviors, practiced in the family environment, which reflect negatively on the school environment. In this research, intra-family violence is highlighted, which can victimize children and adolescents, materializing in the private space of the home, by parents, guardians or family members who subjugate the child and adolescent as property (Chaves, 1997). Identifying children who suffer these attacks in Early Childhood Education classes is of utmost importance and the responsibility of the teacher, who in turn must inform managers in order to take appropriate measures. The hypothesis was confirmed that violence negatively influences the child's experience at school, damaging the teaching-learning process and experience with colleagues and causing these victims various disorders that accompany them into adulthood. This research uses the qualitative method, which aims to probe the subject more deeply, it was carried out in a municipal school in the municipality of Escada-PE, seeking to understand the dimension that domestic violence can cause in a child's life.
