The purpose of this study was to identify, through qualitative and exploratory research, the presence of emotional overwhelm experienced by mothers, using a semi-structured interview. Has no much discussion about theses mother's mental health, which because of the demands of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder's (ASD) treatment have to desist about themselves and dedicate for completely care child which requires high therapy demands and a full-time caregivers. Based on bibliographic studies by authors who focus on the topic. Therefore, it is necessary to have a cautious look at their caregivers, who are, in most cases, mothers. This overload falls on mothers of children with ASD, where dependence on full-time support is necessary. As a result of the diagnosis, may have noticed the impacts caused in these women's mental health, routine adaptation, social exclusion, stress and frustration of idealizing the perfect child was noted. Thus, emphasize the importance of trained professionals to welcome these mothers and provide them with support, since they are seen as an authority figure for information, in other words, providing information for decision-making. The quality and intimacy bond involved in the assistance are significant for the mother's support perception.
