NURSE ACTIONS IN THE PSYCHOSOCIAL CARE CENTER AIMED AT ALCOHOL DEPENDENCE

The harmful use of alcohol generates several changes in people's health indices, causing imbalances for users and those around them. This article sought to describe Alcohol Dependence Syndrome, discuss the psychological, physiological, social, and epidemiological aspects resulting from excessive alcohol use, expose the family impacts and recognize the activities carried out by nurses at (CAPSad) with a focus on alcohol dependence. This research is characterized as a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach, using the databases Sientific Electronic Library Online – (SciELO), the Virtual Health Library – (VHL), the National Institutes of Health – (Pubmed) and the Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences – (LILACS), articles were selected between the temporary cut of the years 2012 and 2024. The results indicated that nurses perform functions that include welcoming, active listening through psychiatric interviews, carrying out therapeutic workshops and group therapies with patients and their families. Furthermore, they collaborate on the PTS with the CAPS AD team. All of these activities promote greater adherence to treatment and the social reintegration of users.
