This article aimed to examine the role of nurses in the early detection and management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms during childhood development monitoring. The objective was to identify early signs of ADHD in Growth and Development (GD) consultations and propose actions that promote a healthy environment for child development. The methodology used consisted of a comprehensive review of scientific literature, focusing on nurses’ practices and approaches to identifying and managing behavioral signs and symptoms associated with ADHD. The results indicate that early intervention by nurses, through detailed assessments and sensory and auditory stimulation, can aid in early detection and enhance children’s development. It was concluded that targeted professional training, focusing on growth and development counseling, is essential to reduce the negative effects of ADHD throughout childhood and adolescence.
