Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological condition that affects the quality of life of millions of women. Dyspareunia refers to pain during sexual intercourse that can be caused by a variety of factors, such as weakening of the pelvic floor muscle associated with endometriosis. This study is a bibliographic review, with a qualitative approach and descriptive technical nature. Data collection took place from February to November 2024. The following research platforms were used: Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), Regional Library of Medicine (BIREME), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), and Virtual Health Library. Dyspareunia can be classified into two levels: primary during sexual intercourse from the first time and secondary after intercourse. Among the numerous causes, endometriosis is one of them, which has an approximate rate of 2% to 10% in women of childbearing age, 30% and 50% infertile women, and 3% and 5% in postmenopausal women, of whom 50% report intense and recurrent pain, i.e., it is a high rate. Pelvic physiotherapy works to optimize endometriosis management protocols and, consequently, improve the sexual quality and life of these women with symptoms of dyspareunia.
