In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the legal sector, bringing significant advancements and challenges to the practice of law. This paper analyzes the impact of AI on Brazilian law, highlighting how technology is transforming traditional legal practices and offering tools that automate repetitive tasks, analyze large volumes of data, and even predict litigation outcomes. These advancements enhance the efficiency of legal professionals and minimize human errors but raise ethical concerns, such as accountability for AI-assisted decisions and ensuring the accuracy and impartiality of these systems. The research also explores the digital evolution in law, the operational benefits of AI, associated ethical and legal challenges, and the need for regulation. Additionally, it addresses the implications of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) for the profession, considering the collection and processing of sensitive data. The paper proposes a reflection on how professionals can adapt and thrive in an ever-evolving environment driven by artificial intelligence.
