The difficulty in controlling weeds in coffee crops in their initial phase raises the need to develop studies with herbicides and evaluate their effects on the crop. The objective of this work is to evaluate the development of young plants of the Amazon Robusta coffee tree (Coffea Canephora) after the application of the herbicides Select and Clorimuron without protection to the seedlings. The experiments were carried out in an open field, with a randomized block design (DBC). The treatments were with different doses of herbicides, as follows: T0= 450 m and SELECT 240 EC ha; T1= 450 mL of SELECT 240 EC/ha + 13.5 g/ha of CHLORIMUROM; T2= 450 mL of SELECT 240 EC/ha + 27g/ha of CHLORIMUROM; T3= 450 mL of SELECT 240 EC/ha + 40.5 g/ha of CHLORIMUROM; T4= 450 mL of SELECT 240 EC/ha + 54 g/ha of CHLORIMUROM. The variables analyzed were stem diameter (DC), plant height (AP) and plant phytotoxicity symptoms (SFP). It was observed that the herbicide Clorimurom, when applied in doses that exceed the leaflet doses, causes plant intoxication, but These symptoms did not affect plant growth or stem diameter development.
