This article examines Vocational and Technological Education (VTE) in Brazil, highlighting its significance in developing qualified professionals and enhancing social inclusion and economic mobility. In the context of Industry 4.0 and the increasing digitalization of the economy, VTE emerges as a crucial response to contemporary labor market demands. The analysis underscores both advancements, such as the expansion of Federal Institutes and the role of the S System, and challenges, including school dropout rates and the need for curriculum updates to incorporate new technologies. It emphasizes the importance of public-private partnerships, which can foster a more relevant education aligned with market needs.Furthermore, the article discusses the necessity of promoting the inclusion of vulnerable groups in VTE, with a focus on gender and racial equity, and how these efforts can mitigate regional disparities. The conclusion asserts that, despite significant progress, robust public policies and a collective commitment from government and civil society are essential. This will ensure that VTE not only meets market demands but also serves as a driver of sustainable growth and social transformation in Brazil.
