Fluorine, a natural mineral, is recognized as one of the most reactive nonmetals in the periodic table, and its presence is significant in the Earth's crust. It is common in foods such as rice, beans and seafood (HAGMANN, 2008). In dentistry, its remineralizing properties are essential in combating tooth decay, a widely combatted and studied public health problem.
