This article This study investigates the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients with arrhythmias treated in Cascavel-PR in 2023, using data from the Hospital Information System of the SUS (SIH/SUS). A total of 138 hospitalizations were recorded, with a higher concentration of cases in the age group of 60 to 79 years, totaling 64 hospitalizations (46.4%) and a predominance of females (54.3% of the total). Most of the treatments were in urgent care (94.2%), reflecting the severity of the cases. The mortality rate was 13.77%, with 19 deaths, mainly among older patients, particularly those aged 60 to 79 years. The study also identified that arrhythmias are often associated with comorbidities such as hypertension and diabetes, which significantly impact clinical outcomes. Most hospitalizations were recorded at the University Hospital of Western Paraná, which treated 105 of the 138 cases, highlighting the centralization of complex care in the region. These data are essential for guiding future research and clinical interventions, emphasizing the importance of detailed monitoring and appropriate prevention and management strategies for this vulnerable population. The results contribute to a better understanding of arrhythmias in the regional context and to the quality of patient care.
