Abstract

The 1990s were characterized by important changes in social, political and economic life in most countries in Latin America. The adoption by governments of improving neoliberal inspiration has resulted in serious transformations in the industry, leading to a retrogression of labor achievements and an increase in unemployment rates. the economic crisis. It is within the context that the companies recovered by the workers (ERTs) are born, also inserted in the re-emergence of cooperativism in the global scope. These initiatives are presented as a form of resistance to work, before the sharp growth of corporate failures. Thus, women and men collectively occupy, resist and recover the factories in which they worked in order to defend their source of work. The proposed work is to present, on the one hand, the current scenario of recovered companies in Brazil and Argentina. On the other hand, to unveil the innovations and social strategies implemented by non-daily workers in the recovery processes in order to survive, achieve sustainability and legitimacy in their struggle in an adverse context.
