This research investigated the implementation of active learning methodologies and the challenges faced by teachers in a technology-mediated educational environment. The general objective was to examine how these methodologies are integrated into teaching and to identify the main obstacles encountered by educators in this process. The bibliographic research addressed the definition and examples of active learning methodologies, the influence of technology in education, and the related technological and pedagogical challenges. The results indicated that inadequate technological infrastructure and a lack of specific training for the use of new tools are significant barriers. The study highlighted the need for technical support and continuous teacher training to facilitate the effective adoption of active learning methodologies. It was found that, despite the opportunities these methodologies offer to enhance student engagement, technological and pedagogical challenges must be addressed to optimize educational practice. The research suggested that future studies should explore solutions to overcome these challenges and improve teacher training.
