This study addressed the challenges faced by educators in applying active learning methodologies within the current educational context, influenced by the presence of digital technologies. The overall objective was to analyze how these methodologies are being implemented and the obstacles that arise in this process. The research was conducted through a literature review, examining existing literature on active learning methodologies and the difficulties associated with integrating technologies into teaching. The results indicated that adapting teachers to new tools and pedagogical practices requires ongoing training and adequate support. The main challenges identified included the need for technical and pedagogical training, as well as the effective integration of technologies into teaching practices. The concluding remarks highlighted the importance of robust institutional support to facilitate the adoption of active learning methodologies and suggested that future studies should investigate the training and support strategies needed to overcome the identified challenges. This study contributes to a better understanding of the obstacles faced by educators and provides guidance for improving pedagogical practices in the technological context.
