Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a metabolic and hormonal condition that has a significant impact on the mental health of affected women. This article adopts an integrative approach, which includes a literature review analyzing recent studies that investigate the epidemiology, clinical and psychological impact of PCOS, and the available therapeutic interventions. The results indicate that PCOS is associated with a higher prevalence of mental health issues, significantly affecting the quality of life of patients. Interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and electroacupuncture have proven effective in reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. Additionally, regular physical exercise has been identified as a valuable strategy in managing PCOS, contributing to the improvement of emotional well-being. Thus, there is a need for integrated approaches that consider both the physical and psychological aspects of the condition, emphasizing the importance of a holistic treatment to optimize the health and quality of life of women with PCOS.
