Genitopelvic pain disorder is a dysfunction that affects many women, mainly interfering with their sexual life and self-esteem. This research sought to analyze, through a bibliographic review, how this disorder occurs in the postpartum period and what the possible treatments are. The articles analyzed in the work were published between 2014 and 2024. In these articles, it was possible to verify the importance of physiotherapy in pain relief and the effectiveness of physiotherapeutic techniques, which include pelvic floor strengthening exercises, perineal massage, vaginal cones, biofeedback and postural reeducation. The databases used as research sources were: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health (PubMed), Virtual Health Library (VHL), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline) and Latin American Literature and of the Caribbean in Health Sciences (Lilacs). The results indicate that physiotherapy plays a key role in treating genito-pelvic pain, with positive results, improving the functionality of the pelvic floor and improving the patient's self-esteem.
