Auricular foreign body is a frequently encountered condition in clinical practice, especially in children, and can cause significant discomfort, pain, and even complications if not properly managed. This article reviews the fundamental aspects of auricular foreign body management, addressing removal techniques, referral criteria to specialists, and possible complications associated with its retention. Early recognition of the presence of a foreign body is essential to avoid secondary infections or structural damage to the ear canal and eardrum. Additionally, preventive strategies are discussed to reduce the recurrence of such incidents.
