Fibromyalgia is a complex chronic syndrome characterized by widespread pain, fatigue, and sleep disturbances, often associated with emotional and cognitive dysfunctions. Due to its multifactorial nature, an interdisciplinary approach has proven to be a promising strategy in the management of this condition, integrating physical, psychological, and nutritional care. This integrative review aims to analyze the current evidence on the effectiveness of interdisciplinary approaches in the treatment of patients with fibromyalgia. Studies published between 2013 and 2023 were included, selected from electronic databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane, using terms related to fibromyalgia and interdisciplinary treatments. The results indicate that the combination of interventions, such as physical therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and integrative practices, provides a significant improvement in symptoms and quality of life of patients. However, adherence to therapies and coordination among health professionals remain challenges for the effective implementation of these approaches. It is concluded that interdisciplinary strategies are essential for the comprehensive treatment of fibromyalgia, although more studies are needed to assess their long-term effects.
