Crohn's Disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory bowel condition affecting the gastrointestinal tract. The treatment of CD has evolved with the introduction of biological therapies, such as TNF-alpha inhibitors, which provide remission and improve patients' quality of life. Alternatives like vedolizumab, ustekinumab, and tofacitinib have emerged for those who do not adequately respond to conventional therapies. Surgery remains crucial in cases of complications, and the combination of pharmacological and surgical interventions has shown significant benefits. Dietary approaches and lifestyle changes are also important for disease management. The cost-effectiveness analysis of therapies is essential to ensure access to effective treatments. The future of CD management lies in the personalization of treatment, considering individual patient characteristics and their responses to different interventions.
