This study looks at professional and technological education in the state of Amazonas, focusing on the integration of theoretical and practical knowledge as a means of training professionals for the demands of the local and global labour market. Faced with regional challenges, such as the lack of infrastructure and geographical peculiarities, the work seeks to understand how technical training can be aligned with the specific needs of the market, while at the same time promoting innovation and the development of products aimed at sustainability and economic growth. The main objective is to analyse how vocational education in Amazonas can integrate these two fundamental aspects, generating qualified professionals who are prepared to face the contemporary demands of the productive sector. The methodology used was qualitative in nature, based on bibliographical research and the deductive method to analyse the theme, reflecting on the current practices and challenges of vocational education in the region. The research concludes that the integration of theory and practice is essential for the development of an innovative workforce, requiring investment in educational infrastructure and the creation of strategic partnerships between the government, educational institutions and the private sector. It also highlights the importance of adopting new technologies in the teaching process as a way of overcoming local challenges and boosting the impact of vocational education on the socio-economic development of Amazonas.
