Abstract

The objective of this research is to present a clinical case and therapeutic intervention of a 46-year-old patient treated at the teaching clinic of the Uniensino educational institution, who presents possible symptoms of anxiety, including panic attacks, physiological excitement and hyperventilation, difficulties in marital relationships and substance abuse (alcohol). Based on the Cognitive-Behavioral framework, in 10 sessions it was possible to measure significant results, with a relaxation of core beliefs and greater dimensioning of problem-solving strategies. Envisioning the reduction of symptoms, the client had a positive evolution in her biopsychosocial context.
