This article is dedicated to examining public policies aimed at the prevention and confrontation of harassment at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG). Through an evaluation of the institution's Code of Ethics, as well as documented harassment incidents, the study aims to assess the effectiveness of the approaches adopted by the university. The methodology used consists of a literature review and analysis of specific cases, which allows for a deeper reflection on the actions in place and the formulation of proposals for improvement. The research findings indicate that, although UEPG is committed to the issue, there are still significant opportunities to strengthen the policies and procedures for harassment prevention. This includes the implementation of measures that promote a safer and more welcoming academic environment for all members of the university community. Through this work, it is hoped to contribute to the debate on harassment prevention in higher education institutions and to the development of institutional practices related to this theme.
