In Brazil, the integration of individuals with ASD in the professional environment is ensured by the same legislation that establishes the minimum quota for the hiring of people with disabilities. In this sense, the objective of this article is to evaluate the efficiency of the policies and programs of Supported Employment in the labor integration of people with ASD, identifying the benefits of this integration for both individuals and organizations. The methodology used was an integrative literature review, with searches carried out in the SciELO databases, in the UFSM Journals and on the CAPES Journals platform, covering the period between 2015 and 2023. The review totaled 10 articles, in which the predominance is on the perception of disability as the main attribute of people with ASD in the professional context. In this research, it is concluded that, despite the studies presenting projects and initiatives aimed at a fairer insertion and maintenance of people with ASD in the labor market, significant challenges persist. Such challenges include the difficulties of socialization faced by people with ASD and the inefficiency in professional training that takes into account their specific needs.
