This article aims to address the Early Childhood Education model offered at CMEI- Luíz Antônio de Pontes Ramos, which is part of the municipal network in the city of Camaragibe in Pernambuco. This research was designed with the aim of explaining the methodological approach used in early childhood education at CMEI and was carried out with the aim of presenting aspects that stand out in the methodological approach to teaching - learning, with the aim of generating in its readers a reflection on its practice with daycare and preschool children. We will bring the conception of this practice, in the way in which the child is seen and understood in its entirety. The main aspects of the practice used at CMEI will be presented, explaining some fundamental points for understanding, some of which include how learning environments are organized, the role of the teacher and the importance of pedagogical documentation in early childhood education. The intention of this article is to highlight what we can appropriate from the learning used at CMEI and thus make our practice in early childhood education meaningful for children and for us as teachers. In this sense, reflection on the teaching role is important for overcoming decontextualized practices and who do not value children's experiences and their experiences.
