This article aims to analyze the impacts of screen use on children's neurodevelopment, addressing the influence that exposure time to electronic devices can have in different areas of development, such as cognition, language, and socialization. The methodology employed involved a comprehensive literature review of recent studies investigating the effects of screens, highlighting both the benefits and risks associated with excessive use. The main results indicated that, while screens can provide learning and interaction opportunities, their excessive use is related to attention difficulties, sleep problems, and impairments in children's social development. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need to establish healthy limits for electronic device use, promoting a balance that favors the integral development of children in their early life stages.
