Metabolic syndrome is a complex condition that affects multiple bodily functions and is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and other comorbidities. In women, this syndrome presents additional challenges, especially when associated with reproductive health disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and infertility. The presence of insulin resistance, abdominal obesity and dyslipidemia can aggravate menstrual and hormonal problems, making clinical management more complex. Understanding the interaction between metabolic syndrome and reproductive disorders is crucial to implementing effective therapeutic strategies. Objective: to evaluate clinical approaches for the management of metabolic syndrome in women with reproductive health disorders, highlighting best practices and treatment strategies. Methodology: To carry out the review, the PRISMA methodology was used, which included a systematic search in databases such as PubMed, Scielo and Web of Science. Five main descriptors were used: “metabolic syndrome”, “reproductive disorders”, “female health”, “clinical treatment” and “polycystic ovary syndrome”. The inclusion criteria were: articles that addressed metabolic syndrome in women with reproductive disorders, publications from the last 10 years, and studies focusing on clinical management. Articles that were not directly related to the topic, studies that did not address clinical or therapeutic aspects, and research that was not peer-reviewed were excluded. Results: revealed that the clinical approach to metabolic syndrome in women with reproductive disorders should be multifaceted, including dietary and pharmacological interventions and lifestyle changes. Effective strategies involve controlling insulin resistance, managing obesity, and correcting hormonal imbalances. It was also highlighted that personalization of treatment is essential to meet the specific needs of each patient. Conclusion: Comprehensive clinical management of metabolic syndrome in women with reproductive health disorders must integrate a holistic approach, considering both metabolic and hormonal aspects. The combination of pharmacological treatment, dietary interventions and lifestyle modifications represents the best strategy to improve the general health and quality of life of these patients.
