This article aims to deepen the fundamental dialogues about Professional and Technological Education (EPT) in Brazil, addressing the challenges inherent to its articulation between work, education and human training. Based on the reflections of Karl Marx, Gaudêncio Frigotto, Manuel Ramos, Maria Ciavatta and Paulo Freire, we seek to critically understand the insertion of EPT in the contemporary context, exploring its historical trajectory, construction processes and current implications. The research reveals how EPT can simultaneously respond to the demands of the labor market and promote human emancipation, contributing to the integral formation of individuals and the construction of a fairer society.
