CARBON NEUTRALITY, ENVIRONMENTAL GHG REDUCTION PROCEDURES AND GLOBAL WARMING: A CASE STUDY OF AMBEV AND BUNGE COMPANIES

There is a global commitment to carbon neutrality in order to limit global warming. Given this scenario, in the scientific investigation, the policies and strategies adopted by the AMBEV and BUNGE companies will be analyzed, whether they are generating impacts on the environment with carbon neutrality, in the short and long term. This is a descriptive, qualitative, secondary source case study that aims to investigate environmental policies and strategies for carbon neutrality, reduction of greenhouse gases related to global warming developed by the companies under study, in addition to evaluating the profile of the companies. in emissions and actions, based on information from the diagnosis of the GHG Protocol inventory, classified according to scopes 1, 2 and 3, in which sustainability strategies, plans and goals are established. It is intended to contribute to the reduction of the use of natural resources and engagement with the environment, considering the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris agreement. It is concluded that the efforts and objectives of the two analyzed companies walk in the same direction when it comes to the search for quality of life and nature preservation.
