Abstract

This work aims to focus on the influence of Hip Hop in today's society, focusing on Mano Brown, one of the main representatives of this movement in Brazil. Analyzes how Mano Brown influences social, political and cultural issues in Hip Hop. The object is the artistic work and activism of Mano Brown, with an emphasis on his lyrics, interviews and social movements. The methodology used is to analyze the Hip Hop movement with a theoretical perspective from authors such as Theodor Adorno, Enio Passiani and Antonio Gramsci. This work concludes that Mano Brown represents and amplifies the social realities faced by the black community in the urban outskirts of São Paulo to Brazil.
