Human papillomavirus (HPV) occurs due to a persistent infection. Knowing that the lack of knowledge about respect for this illness and prophylactic and control measures, constitutes a set of restrictions that the pharmaceutical professional has been facing at the present time. The objective of this article is to classify pharmaceutical care in the prevention and care of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in young and adult women. A narrative literature review was carried out, based on articles, available on virtual database sites such as SciELO, published, to investigate the role of the pharmacist in preventing HPV in women. This is a qualitative and descriptive study. The pharmacist is important in prevention, in informing about the need to use condoms (male or female condoms) that prevent infection by HPM through contact with the skin and mucous membrane of the vulva, perineal region (thigh region, anus, sac scrotum and mouth). It was concluded that pharmacists still remember that HPV has a high layer in the mucous membranes, and still analyze all prescribed medications, in a broad way, in relation to localized patient care, without fragmenting it.
