This work aims to present the contributions and qualification of knowledge acquired through the teaching training of the Institutional Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program – PIBID, an interdisciplinary History and Geography subproject focusing on ethnic-racial relations at the XXX School of Basic Education, between December 2022 and April 2024. Document analysis (Lüdke e André, 1986) was used as a methodological procedure to examine, among other documents, the Program conclusion report, prepared by the supervisor, author of this work. The analysis revealed that the activities developed throughout PIBID fostered the three dimensions considered in this study, namely: continued training, interdisciplinarity and the theory-practice relationship. The results suggest that the program expanded dialogue between the university and the field school, contributing to the quality of teacher training for everyone involved in the program, be they the IDs and the coordinating and supervisory teachers.
