The present work, presented as a postgraduate article in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, has the objective to make an integrative review of the contents related to the benefits of cognitive behavioral therapy techniques applied to binge eating disorder. The method used to prepare the integrative review was through the descriptors from the DeskMesh database and stages of selection of articles published on online platforms such as Pubmed, SciELO and PePSIC, VHL – Saúde, Lilacs and Cochrane, on the aforementioned topic. The result showed was positive for the applied techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy for the treatment of binge eating, such as psychoeducation, cognitive conceptualization, cognitive restructuring, emotional regulation strategies, mindfulness, mindful eating, intuitive eating, communication skills, bibliotherapy, decision-making balance, identification of dysfunctional beliefs associated with the body, food and eating, functional analysis of episodes of binge eating and compensatory behaviors. For conclusion more studies should be carried out in the future so that more national research is developed and published on the topic of CBT for the treatment of TCA.
