Abstract

This work addresses the universe of law, reporting the difficulties encountered by black lawyers in the daily exercise of their profession. All Law graduates have the opportunity to take the Bar Exam, however, the placement of professionals, although qualified, can be determined by their phenotypic characteristics. In this way, the process is no longer accessible to everyone and turns into subjective choices. Thus, the article aims to understand whether there is racial equality in the legal career, as well as the obstacles faced by black lawyers in relation to work and policies aimed at building anti-racist thinking in the legal career. The research came to the conclusion that there is racial inequality in law, but that it is possible to change this reality, transforming people's thinking and showing that black women can occupy the space they want in society and especially in law.
