Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a rheumatologic disease with high relevance in the global social body, characterized by elevated rates of incidence and prevalence. The pathology primarily involves the joints, causing various physical limitations for its carriers and can also lead to extra-articular conditions, such as Sjogren's syndrome and rheumatoid nodules. The treatment of RA is based on behavioral measures and drug therapy, which is segmented into three well-defined lines, consisting of disease-modifying drugs, both biological and synthetic. Immunobiological medications represent one of the most recent revolutions in managing the pathology, bringing with them the possibility of significant improvement in disease control and an increase in the quality of life of patients. This present study is descriptive, observational, and cross-sectional, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, aiming to assess the prevalence of immunobiological medication use for the treatment of RA and its correlation with disease control.
