This research examines the risks and challenges of regulating gambling in Brazil, focusing on the release of online betting houses. Using a literature review, the study selects relevant articles to better understand gamblers' risky behaviors and the potential impacts of regulation. The main motivation is the growth of the sector, which affects people of all ages. Online betting, with promises of potential winnings, is prominent on the internet and in everyday conversations, increasing the importance of understanding the laws that regulate these activities. The study concludes that regulation faces significant challenges, presenting several pros and cons. Understanding the regulations surrounding earnings and the operation of online bookmakers can help resolve or mitigate problems and challenges faced by the sector.
