This paper aims to present a study on the role of the nurse in preventing pressure injuries in elderly bedridden patients in the home setting, assessing the importance of the Braden Scale as an auxiliary tool in both care and care planning, analyzing how health education can contribute to the family or caregiver's participation in the established assistance plan and how the environment in which the elderly person is inserted can influence the development of these injuries. For this purpose, the method of literature review was used to collect data, through the content of scientific articles published on digital platforms over the last ten years. It was concluded that the nurse's assistance to bedridden elderly in the home environment is of great importance for pressure injury prevention and has significant results through the development of an individual care plan, health education, and continuous evaluation, despite the low number of articles found on the topic in this scenario.
