Abstract

Ozempic (Semaglutide) appears as an innovation in the treatment of excess weight and related metabolic conditions. Initially approved to control type 2 diabetes, Ozempic later gained recognition for its effectiveness in weight loss in overweight or obese patients.Clinical studies have consistently highlighted the benefits of Ozempic in both weight loss and promoting metabolic health. Patients treated with Ozempic showed a significant reduction in body weight, often maintaining this loss in the long term. Furthermore, improvements were observed in metabolic indicators, such as glycemic control, lipid profile and blood pressure. Ozempic's mechanisms of action are diverse and include appetite regulation, delayed gastric emptying and increased insulin sensitivity. By modulating these physiological processes, Ozempic not only facilitates weight loss, but also helps correct underlying metabolic imbalances, contributing to improved overall health. Therefore, Ozempic represents a promising therapeutic approach to combat obesity and associated metabolic conditions. Its potential to provide benefits in both weight loss and metabolic health positions it as a valuable option for individuals facing these health challenges.
