Abstract

The central subject of the project “The social, political and economic impact of the energy transition in Brazil” consists of presenting and analyzing the concept of energy transition and the evolution of the Brazilian energy matrix from 1930 to 2023, addressing the most relevant sources in the sector. In general, the text presents the influence of the energy matrix on the country's political, social, and environmental processes, being intimately connected with the historical Brazilian industrialization process, as well as the current neo-industrialization agenda, highlighting its relationship with sustainable development and the energy security project.
