Abstract

This article sought to show that parental alienation is a practice that causes the child, who was previously cared for by both parents, to see one of the parents differently from reality after a divorce, starting to see him or her as a person bad, or who doesn't want the best for their child, for example. This is a practice that has been occurring for a long time, and does not originate nowadays after the so-called documented divorces. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this practice became even more common, considering that, because the virus is highly transmissible, it was recommended that people stay indoors and reduce physical contact with people outside the community. of the House. This became the perfect “excuse” to physically remove the child from the parent who did not have permanent custody, or even the other part of shared custody.
