This treatment, including medications and non-drug treatments provided by medical professionals, is vital to the health of people with diabetes. The results indicate that monitoring and pharmaceutical care for patients with diabetes are extremely important to guarantee the quality of life of these patients. An analysis of the articles found that pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments are crucial for the health of patients with diabetes, and that the most commonly used medication for type 2 diabetes is metformin.
