Abstract

This research aims to understand the challenges and difficulties related to the daily lives of teachers in relation to remote education and the inclusion of technology in their professional routine. Two educators were interviewed, one from basic education and the other from higher education, both teachers in actual teaching practice, and in different areas of training and activity. The methodology used was qualitative, with the adoption of semi-structured interviews. As a theoretical basis, texts from Castells (1999) were adopted; Matiase & Nascimento, (2015); Simões, (2009); Casartelli, Giraffa & Modelski (2019); Unesco, (2009) and Guimarães, Junior & Finardi, (2022). The results point to a critical view of the relationship between student training and the use of digital technologies, as the educators interviewed raised problems such as: the lack of importance in teacher training, especially during the Covid 19 Pandemic period, facilitation of use plagiarism (pointed out by interviewee B), students' unpreparedness in handling technology and the lack of adequate, quality equipment, especially among poorer students.
